Ronnie Dizon, a talented multi-instrumentalist and keyboard player for such acts as The Ronnies, Blue Ketchup, and others, suddenly passed away on the evening of August 4, 2012. He was only 36 years old.

A skilled musician with a trained ear, Ronnie had been known to figure songs out on the fly, making him the perfect session musician. This particular trait had made him invaluable to his cover band The Ronnies, which has become an in-demand act for parties and weddings, with its wide repertoire of '70s and '80s hits. He was also a member of Blue Ketchup, which released a full-length album, Kwento Pop, in 2007. More recently, he played with former 6cyclemind frontman Ney Dimaculangan's live band, and occasionally with Ebe Dancel. He also played bass in the local alt-country band Barrio Radyo with American musician Pastor Dave, Tim Cacho of Imago, and Raimund Marasigan.

Friends, fans, and fellow musicians can pay their respects at Chapel E of Arlington Memorial Chapels on Araneta Avenue, Quezon City until Wednesday night. Interment will be on Thursday morning at Holy Cross Memorial Park in Novaliches, Quezon City. We at Pinoytuner.com send our sincerest condolonces to Ronnie's family and loved ones.
